Located in Chicago’s Fulton Market, 225 N Elizabeth is a 28-story mixed-use tower featuring 350 modern residences and approximately 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. Design by Em developed the building’s complete signage and wayfinding package, including sign location plans, sign types, message schedules, custom icons, and production artwork.

The signage complements the building’s contemporary architecture through clean typography, crisp contrast, and thoughtful detailing. Exterior LED face-lit signage is mounted on a raceway at the canopy, while black metal lettering in the reception lobby stands two inches off the wall. Directional signage wraps around a corner to guide residents toward the mailroom, and white projecting signs feature black text, custom icons, and black edges with concealed mounting hardware. Modular elevator signage integrates with the wood-slat walls, creating a cohesive system that helps residents and visitors navigate the building with ease.
